Meet ✨Big Eartha✨ she is just a babyyyy. Any care tips are greatly appreciated since this is my very first Monstera.

Already regretting adding the coir pole since I hear the wooden tips rot very easily \& fast. So only using as a temporary method.

Hey 👋🏼 can you explain what you mean about the central pole because I have just been gifted a monstera and have bought the same wooden support stake for the middle

Apparently, the wooden stake that goes into the soil rots very easily and can introduce bacterial infections into the plant. It is just something I heard on tiktok about those coir poles, though, I have not confirmed it to be true. I guess I’ll know eventually. Hope that helps!

Give her really great LIGHT, good drainage, water when dry half way down, and regular plant food, and she’ll be so happy. 🌿

She’s beautiful! They like to dry way out before watering. Also, make sure to attach it to the pole closer to the bottom of the stem rather than where it is on the petiole. The leaves move to catch the light and cannot if restricted. Lots of light! Mine sits near a west window and does very well with it, even in summer.
