Just out of curiosity, should I be worried of the bottom portion of the stem being brown like that?

Nope! Plants often turn brown/woody and get stronger on the older stems to help hold up the rest of the plant

Yeah. I can’t tell what you’re looking at. Most of what I see brown is healthy aerial roots. There is one spot at the bottom near the soil that not a root but if it’s still firm you should be ok. If you are concerned about a spot jus give it a squeeze. As long as it’s not mushy or soft you’re ok.
