# i recently got this Monstera Adansonii, i was wondering if i should…

i recently got this Monstera Adansonii, i was wondering if i should repot it? there is a new leaf on top which seems to be curling downwards. Also, is the pot next to the monstera an appropriate size to upgrade to? it’s the smallest size i could find in my local garden shop 🫶 any help appreciated, as well as any general tips on monstera Adansonii care will also be well received ❤️

100% yes repot. You should just go up in pot size an inch or two. These are prolific growers in my experience. Even more so if they have a moss pole to grow on

Repot but if you just bought the plant give it a couple days to acclimate to it’s new environment/temp in your house and then repot. My adansonii has done great for me and they love to climb so I would suggest adding a small trellis or pole!

I brought it home on tuesday and just repotted it today, do you think it’ll be okay? for future reference, how long do you let it acclimate to the environment of your home? your adansonii is absolutely beautiful!!! your input is clearly very valuable judging by the thriving health of your monstera:))

No worries!! I usually wait at least a week but it’s up to you! It’ll probably be just fine! 😊 you might do this already too but I make sure to kinda “quarantine” my plants to don’t have bugs or pests that can migrate over to my other plants

For the first week or so. My adansonii has been super easy so I hope yours will be too!
