help!
this is my first monstera, i have two. this one when bought had brown spots on the leaves and recently i left it outside too long and it got sunburned. i dont know what to do. my monstera looks so sad and crazy. it hasn’t produced any new leaves in about two weeks (or less)

i don’t know how i need to care for it to get it looking healthy again. any tips would help and be so appreciated. i have always wanted a monstera and i feel like such a bad plant mom
(ignore the laundry i have to fold and put away.)

Chop dead or yellowing leaves so the plant can divert its energy to new growth. Monstera like to be on the drier side of watering and can tolerate being root bound.

Make sure you are not over watering, if the pot is too large it could be holding too much water because the plant can't keep up with using it. This could cause root rot

Give it lots of bright indirect light so it doesnt become scorched as well as some sort of support (you'll likely need multiple) and it should be happy again.

Don’t worry. Monsteras are quite resilient. Like they mentioned, chop off scorched or dying leaves. Find a nice sunny window, but start a couple of feet away from it and slowly move the pot closer to the window every 2 days. This should be safe enough to get it acclimated. You can definitely benefit from some support. Anything will do, I often use orchid stakes. For watering, water when the top 2 inches of the soil feel dry. Don’t trust the app, this is the one plant that it gets constantly wrong, in my experience 😅

Bring it to the window
