# I’ve been propagating this Adansonii for awhile now and wondering if…

I’ve been propagating this Adansonii for awhile now and wondering if I should put it in dirt? And if so any tips due to root placement?

Seeing as its only got one root (which is fine!) I’d wait till it grows some secondary roots to help it once transferred. I find if I pot at this stage it takes them foreeever to adjust.

I would cut that leaf below the node and see if you could do the same to the other to get it to root below it's own node and boom you have two plants. Sometimes when the cutting is too big it's putting the energy towards its leaves and not rooting well enough. I did this with a maranta, it was rooting soooooo slow. Then I divided my cutting and both immediately pushed out healthy roots.
