# Hi! I took apart a dying monstera I was gifted and found 3 plants in…

Hi! I took apart a dying monstera I was gifted and found 3 plants in the pot, one had barely any roots so i have it in water to let the roots grow out a bit before re planting it in soil. These three growths came out on the stem where there used to be a leaf - anyone know what this may be? Is it roots? Not sure if it should also be submerged in water or not. Thanks!

Those are aerial roots

You could cut a each one of those leaf nodes and get a new plant or try if you wanted

If you cut where I put those red lines then put those nodes in some moss or water or whatever substrate you fancy to propagate in
