I got my monstera shipped from Amazon and it has just been deteriorating ever since. I’m not sure what I am doing wrong. Please help!

The leaves look sunburned not sure how close it is to the window. Also check your roots if you haven’t already, look for pests and depending on the soil composition consider repotting into well draining soil mix some time in the near future. Best of luck!

Thank you so much I appreciate it!! And it’s about 3-4 feet away from the window so I wouldn’t think it is. But I’m really not sure. Thank you!!

This definitely looks like the leaves have been sunburnt. Unfortunately once they have been burned they will not return back to green so you’ll most likely have to cut them to promote new leaf growth. I know it’s a scary process since it seems like most of them are burnt. I know you said it’s about 3-4ft from a window, but if it’s getting really bright direct sun from this window then there’s your problem. Part sun and part shade has been what I find to be best for monsteras, especially larger ones. As the commenter above mentioned, definitely water her. Although they like to dry out between waterings, it’s best to water thoroughly before doing so, to ensure they are hydrated throughout. I find watering until the water comes out of the drainage holes to be the best way but you can even try allowing the plant to soak for few minutes if that’s your preference. Liquid fertilizer is also definitely something you could look into in the near future! Wishing you and your baby the best of luck!💚

Oh wow thank you very much! That’s definitely understandable! And I do water until it comes out of drainage holes and use liquid fertilizer too:/ but I will definitely try to move her away from the sun more. And a grow light probably wouldn’t be ideal right?

Grow lights are great for plants in situations where they may be placed too far from the sun and therefor aren’t getting the proper lighting however, the reason yours was burned was for the direct opposite reason lol, which shows that there’s ample light coming in. My only suggestion really would be to place her a little further back in your room so those leaves don’t get burned again. If you’d like to use those lights, place her even further back and allow her to receive light from both sources
