# Hi! My boyfriend surprised me with some new plants after the heatwave…

Hi! My boyfriend surprised me with some new plants after the heatwave killed majority of mine but he got me a Monstera and while I’ve had one in the past unfortunately my roommate stole it🙃 this is the new baby and I need advice! Should I repot her? She just started leaning out of nowhere and it’s so drastic idk what to do. Pls! I’m still a relatively new plant mom

I would repot and put in a pole for sure…I didn’t do that to mine when it was little and now it’s spreading out a lot 😁

Same. 😳😑 Get it on a moss pole. Those arial roots will dive in and your plant grows incredibly awesome. Good luck!

Definitely a pole and a nice chunky soil mix! Try to locate the “back” of the plant where there are more ariel roots and less leaves. Put that side to the pole

That pot is a decent size, so if it were me, I wouldn’t repot unless you were wanting to change up the soil mix. Definitely don’t go bigger on the pot. They like their roots to be somewhat compact, They are climbers, so the lean is perfectly normal. If you put a climbing pole, as suggested, you can train it to grow vertically. Looks like the plant has great bones - Good luck!
