hii i just go this monstera and she has an aerial root, i plan on putting it in water, she also has a completely yellow leave and i broken one not sure what i should do but any help would be great!

sorry forgot to ask if i should repot it

I don’t put any of my aerial roots into water. I just grow them back down into the dirt I would remove yellowing leaf. I also would remove the piece of leaf that is broken. I personally re-pot all of my plants after I buy them so I know what’s happening with the roots.

the root is sticking so far out though how would i go about getting it back in the dirt?

i would just wait until you repot. they don’t mind being in the air, and placing aerial roots in water has been known to cause rot. if it bothers you, the plant won’t mind its root being trimmed, in fact it’ll probably grow right back.

Just let it naturally grow. And the longer it gets the more you can shape it into the pot 🤷🏻‍♀️
