# Hi all, I’ve had this for about a year and the last couple of months…

Hi all, I’ve had this for about a year and the last couple of months it hasn’t done well. I found bugs and removed them but the new leaves are still coming up with brown edges and all these other leaves also have brown edges. I water it once every couple of weeks and I add some fertilizer sticks every couple of months. Any insight would be helpful!

Do you check the soil in between watering? If you’re waiting for a couple of weeks it could be dehydrated, stick your finger in the soil every so often (up to your knuckle) and check if the soil is dry and brushes off your fingers, if it does then water it. You could also be over fertilising it.

The leaves look soaked, do you mist it a lot?

I’d say too much water, that’s what’s causing the brown spots. The yellowing on the top leaf - I’ve seen on my own plant from being placed in much brighter light without having the chance to acclimate slowly first. Not sure if that would apply to your situation
