# I got this albo monstera a year ago in November. It hasn’t put out…

I got this albo monstera a year ago in November. It hasn’t put out any new leaves, and within the last month began losing its color and lost a whole leaf. It was expensive and I don’t want it to die. Help! Please!

Is it getting enough light? Does the pot have drainage? Is the inner pot too tight of a fit to the decorative pot so maybe the moisture is staying inside the pot? It looks like it could be a watering issue or a light issue.

I just moved it to a room with a 3 south facing windows, and no. It’s not snug in the pot. It hasn’t been fertilized since I bought it. Could that be an issue?

If you just moved it to much more light than it used to be in, it might be reacting to that. They can be sensitive to drastic changes. Try moving it farthest away from the windows for a few days and see if it perks up a bit. It wouldn’t hurt to fertilize it if you haven’t changed the soil either. The soil could be depleted and fertilizing would definitely help with that.

I just repotted it into a terracotta pot - I know they help with watering issues. The roots were string thin and brittle when I took it out of the original soil. I think I may have overwatered it when we moved into our new apartment. 😩 Here’s to hoping I can save her! Thanks for your advice!
