I went down a rabbit hole today (too long to explain 😂) and found out Monstera is apparently pronounced two different ways. 😳

The way I say it and have only heard it said by friends is:  
mon-STER-a (like mon-stare-uh)

The other way is:  
MON-ster-a (like monster ahhhhhh! 😂)

How do y’all say it?

The first way for me (with a UK midlands accent, if that helps).

Everything I read said typically, the first way was British English and the second was American English so that makes sense (per the internet). 😂

I had such a hard time pronouncing it because I was over thinking it because I was trying to say it the first way. Then I looked at it and I was like wait it’s literally monster-a but now I saw it the first way…. Because if I saw it the second way I hold the ahhh too long
