# Hey guys, I’ve been seeing this new light yellowish stalk(?) forming…

Hey guys, I’ve been seeing this new light yellowish stalk(?) forming on the side of one my newest leaves. As you can see in the photo there’s a brown spot and the bottom part is yellowing also.  
I don’t think I’ve seen this before, should I be concerned? Thank you for any help or advice! 🍃

It seems to be getting some kind of variegation, and turning white! (I think)

Good to know, it’s something for me to monitor then. I’m still very much in learning mode so this is all helpful, I hope variegation is a good thing. 😊

It’s not a bad thing! The only thing is, the white tissue cannot collect sun. But it means it’s doing good, I believe!

I would not be concerned. Some of mine do this when a new leaf grows from within that stem, but it’s just part of their natural process. 🌿
