hey all! i bought this monsters and it already had these black spots on two leaves. what does it mean? should i cut it off or is it okay to leave it?

My first guess would be root rot, I would check the roots asap

i repotted it because the original pot it was in was way too small. the roots were white and looked fine to me.

So odd… it didn’t really look like a sun burn 🤔

it doesn’t look like a sunburn at all. but the shop i bought it from the leaves with the spots where tucked under another monstera. so i thought maybe that could be it? either that or it being overwatered

I would guess overwatering previously
