I’ve had my Thai for less than a month and I already chopped off some rotty roots. What are your best tips to avoid rot with these thangs

Are you over watering? They like being root bound in their pot … I have my monsters mint still in the same pot it was in when I got it back in April and it’s doing fantastic!

Def not overwatering. Watered it twice since I had It, today being second time.  
I transferred it into a clear pot so I could see the roots! But I didn’t disturb it much. It’s in a 4 inch nursery with lots of drainage

Don't put rocks or any pebble media at the bottom of your pots, always remove excess water from bottom after 10 min so it's not sitting in water
