My first post asking for some advice. I need to report my new monstera. What type of pot and what type of pot soil do people like. What type of support poles do people use? I want to try to shape it some. Any suggestions and advice would be appreciated!

Tons of drainage if you get soil, orchid bark, perlite, and leca or small rocks. Id suggest keeping it in a nursery pot so it’s easier to transplant once its bigger. The support poles id say use moss so you can put the air roots in.

I use a mix of tropical plant soil, perlite, and leca

I personally would also prune it and make it into two nice sized plants. The right side thats leaning down. I’d pot that side by itself. Just an idea

i love using transparent nursery pots because then you can see when it’s getting rootbound, as well as when the soil is drying out! making sure these have lots of drainage holes is super important as well.
i tend to use a mix of 1/3 houseplant soil, 1/3 perlite, 1/6 leca, 1/6 bark.
in terms of supports i use totem moss poles so i can just add height as the plant climbs rather than repotting every time it needs a taller support, and then i use garden velcro tape and mossing pins to secure the main stalk, it’s important not to secure the petiole (the stem from the stalk to the leaves) to the pole as these move with the sun!
hope that helps :)

Give it a moss pole and pot it in a nursery pot
