# This is my first monstera and I’m wondering if it’s ok if it grows…

This is my first monstera and I’m wondering if it’s ok if it grows like this, hanging down? I saw a few comments about moss poles, should I get that to support the plant? Thank you!

The ones spreading out should be okay. They like to reach for the light! Watch out for the main stem of your monstera. If that one starts tilting too much, then you should get a support pole!

When it gets bigger you can just use a tree branch or stick. As this is what they do in the wild.

a moss pole would give it some support! that and plant tape/ties.
