# Hi everyone, I just picked up this monstera at IKEA, it was the last…

Hi everyone, I just picked up this monstera at IKEA, it was the last one remaining and had some leaf damage I could work with. Unfortunately I had to leave it in a hot car for about an hour while I went into another store. I feel so bad now her leaves look like this. What can I do to fix it? I’ve never had a monstera before and I have so idea how to help it recover from this.

In summer 2021, my friend left one of my deliciosa’s in a hot car for longer. I snipped off the badly wilted leaves, and gave her a lot of TLC. She bounced back well and has been thriving!

Give time and TLC, (new soil and pot maybe) if it’s green it will come back 💪

i wouldn’t re pot it. you might stress it out even more. just keep it in indirect light. don’t over water it. if the leaves don’t show signs of getting better in a couple days then snip them off so it can focus on bouncing back. being patient was the hardest part when i’ve fried my plants by mistake… luckily it’s summer so she’ll faster. good luck !
