just got what i believe is a mini monstera from an old teacher of mine!! very excited because i have yet to successfully grow a plant that is not a succulent :) if anyone has any tips or suggestions about it i would love to hear. i placed a skewer in the pot (yay low-budget plant care!) to keep it upright—should i be worried about root damage? are there better alternatives to this? anyways, i’m so excited to join this community!! thanks in advance!

don’t worry about root damage, it should be totally fine! it looks great! mini monsteras are great plants that are pretty easygoing so that’s perfect! mine gets dry between waterings and it seems happy :) I have mine on a bamboo hoop and it loves climbing
