# Hello! I bought my first Monstera deliciosa yesterday. It is 4 feet…

Hello! I bought my first Monstera deliciosa yesterday. It is 4 feet from my north window in a diagonal line (against west wall that has no window). It is beautiful! My question is: do I need a grow light? I love where it is and my gut feeling tells me it should be fine. Advice?

They like plenty of indirect light, so I’d recommend a grow light. You could always switch one of you lamp lights to a grow light bulb! She would also really benefit from a moss pole to climb!

Thank you! If I get a grow light, would 8 hours of the light being on enough?

Tell me more about moss poles! I too just purchased my first monstera and it’s a little bigger in size.

In my experience with them, my plants haven’t been too picky about the type, there important thing is that they support the plant ☺️ also, I do not mist or water mine, and you can use twine, garnering ribbon, or plant Velcro to secure the plant to the pole ☺️
