Hi all!

I need a little bit of help… I recently purchased this adansonii aurea online and it arrived yesterday. The pictures online were of the exact plant but had only the 3 variegated leaves and were in much better condition. It arrived looking pretty bad even after it was only in transit (from packed to received) less than 24 hrs. It also has 2 new leaves that seem to have reverted.

I have not contacted the seller because i don’t want to inconvenience a small business… but i paid a pretty penny for it.

Here’s where i need help, not sure if the aurea sometimes gets green leaves and will continue growing variegated leaves as it goes or if i should chop the 2 new leaves and see what happens or just take it back to the seller?

Pics below, the 2 all green leaves are also way smaller so im guessing it wasn’t kept in the best lighting conditions…

I appreciate any advice

I’m almost positive the seller sold you a plant that had reverted already. There’s no way two leaves would grow in 24 hours and just happen to be all green. Definitely contact the seller and get your money back! I’m sorry :(

Yea definitely second this. Borderline bait n switch. While it’s the same plant (maybe), they definitely sold it using an older photo of the plant. Which obviously has deteriorated since they took the photo … probably 2-4 weeks ago. Maybe even longer given the state of the leaves.
