# Hi all! I have had this monstera for a few years now and I am unsure…

Hi all! I have had this monstera for a few years now and I am unsure on how to tame it. I have lots of new growth but not sure how I should be trimming it or best way to place the moss pole. Any help appreciated!!

Your plant looks very healthy and happy. I think monsterras like to climb, as that’s what they do naturally. I think you’ll be just fine to cut off the lower leaves that aren’t split. And then you can shape it how you want by tying it to the moss pole.

If it were me, id stregiten out that moss pole just a bit, and trim off those baby leaves. It also looks like you can easily propagate that puppy too so you can get more! Youre doing great :)
