# I got my beautiful Monstera from a plant swap with just two leaves…

I got my beautiful Monstera from a plant swap with just two leaves and she has grown significantly but I’m wondering how do I make her bushier rather than continue climbing up? I’m afraid to chop her up because I’ve worked so hard to get her here! Any advice appreciated!

It takes a while but I’ve found fertilizers made specifically for monstera helped and good lighting. A lot of the bushier looking ones you see are actually several plants in the same pot

That’s what I was thinking and try not to be so hard on myself😆 I’ll try to find a Monstera fertilizer and see if it helps. She’s very generous with her leaves I’m just going to run out of moss pole eventually and not sure how to keep supporting!

I would say once it gets big enough, propagate one or two of the leaves (google first, it’s super easy), then when you have a new plant ready to go, pot it in the same pot as before and you should get a bushier plant when it started to thrive! Will take a bit of time but I would deffo recommend 😊
