# I just got my first Monstera about 2 weeks ago. I’m getting…

I just got my first Monstera about 2 weeks ago. I’m getting conflicting reviews on google about when to repot into something bigger. She has roots wrapped around the bottom of the pot, and slightly poking out. But she’s still holding water well, and she’s got two new big leaves coming in. Thoughts?

If it’s happy, don’t disturb it :) repotting can sometimes cause shock, so if your plant is happy and growing new leaves, let it be. You should repot it when the plant is heavier than the pot so it doesn’t stand up, or roots are coming out of the pot. Monstera grow really fast so it’ll show you when it’s ready.
