# Hi there friends! I just recently become a plant mom to this…

Hi there friends! I just recently become a plant mom to this beautiful four year old monstera! When I got it some leaves were yellow, dry, crispy. What is the reason it’s doing this? I noticed she had it in the middle of the living room so I don’t think it got enough light when she had it, now it’s in front of a south facing window. No direct light.

Also should I cut those leaves off sinse they are dying or should I leave them?!

Oops, just saw you already said that in your post, sorry. What kind of soil is it in?

Up to you if you want to remove the leaves. They’re just damaged but I don’t think they’ll die fully. If you do want to remove them, cut at the base of the stem
