# I got this monstera deliciosa around 3 weeks ago and it’s still in…

_Publié par 🪴❤️Enzo❤️🪴 le 2024-07-15_

I got this monstera deliciosa around 3 weeks ago and it’s still in its nursery pot. I know some monsteras like to be a bit root bound but I was thinking maybe it is time to repot?

Only way to know is if you pull it out and inspect, if more roots than soil go ahead and go up 2” in size no more 😁

I always go by whether or not there are roots coming out of the bottom of the planter. If your Monstera is still putting out new leaves and you can tell it’s growing, I don’t think you need to repot it. If you do decide to repot it, I think it would be fine. Just make sure the pot isn’t too big. As you know, monsteras light to be snug in their pots. If there is too much empty space around the roots, it may stunt its growth and can also leave two problems like root rot or roots, dying from not receiving enough oxygen.

Aside from looking at the roots, I also will moniter how quickly the plant needs watered. Whenever I begin to notice less time between watering, I know it’s time for a repot
