Where do you get it from/ how much does it cost?

It's $24 for the silica gold I'm using. It's 32oz, you use like a capful per gallon of water. So it's pretty cost effective. There's other smaller bottles like the bloom city one in the pic for $12. It's well worth the money. It also fortifies the plant against pests.

This is the difference. Top leaf before silica every watering. Bottom leaf after

you don’t need it, but it’s always an option. i just use my own soil mix that’s extra chunky and fast drying! tai cons sure love to get root rot. 😵‍💫

Thanks for the warning🥴. It was in really dense soggy soil so I changed the soil to about 50/50 potting soil and perlite with a bit of bark added in. It was from Walmart but I think they had just gotten them in, the roots were good and it def needed to be repotted. I think I'll see how expensive and how easy to get a hold of this silica is😂
