# Hi everyone, any ideas as to why the newer leaves are growing in…

Hi everyone, any ideas as to why the newer leaves are growing in yellow?

The older, larger leaves look healthy as far as I can tell, but more yellowing towards the bottom of the plant ☹️

Is being in a North West facing window too much light?

Any help appreciated 🌱🙏🏻

Luckily you might have it backwards! The older leaves are the smaller yellow ones. The new leaves are larger and have the fenestrations. As the plant grows, the older growth yellows on purpose to give the new growth more energy. Perfectly normal. Means you’re doing everything right.

You can let it crisp up and fall off itself or get some sterilized clippers and take it off yourself. I sterilize with hydrogen peroxide since it’s safe for plants

Northwest isn’t enough light I would wager. I would try for east if you’ve got it. Mine is near a west window and it quite large!
