# I need your help!!! My Monstera’s variegated areas are continuing to…

I need your help!!! My Monstera’s variegated areas are continuing to brown, and its new leaf is curving downwards. I water it when the top of the soil is dry, and I have an air purifier. I also have a grow light that goes for about eight hours. Please let me know what I need to do!!!

Just add silica to your plant water. It’ll help prevent future browning. You should also only be watering a Thai con when it’s nearly fully dry.

This is normal for these types of leaves to brown on just the white edges because they are essentially useless.  
It doesn’t always mean you’re doing anything wrong :)
