# Anyone have any advice about what to do for my Monstera Deliciosa’s…

Anyone have any advice about what to do for my Monstera Deliciosa’s leaves? They’re slowly turning brown and wilted on the edges. I water once a week, maybe longer in between if the soil is still moist. I pictured the window it’s sitting next to. I’m not sure what to do for her and would love some advice if anyone has it! :)

Also it was previously in a more shaded area but I saw several people saying to move it to an open window in order to have the holes develop in her leaves! Do you think it’s too much sunlight or something else? ^^

Hey, does the pot have any drainage? Monsteras like their roots to have oxygen to prevent root rot, if you have the chance, try taking it out of the pot, check the roots to make sure that they are in good condition cut off any bad parts.

Monsteras also can go longer without watering as their more hardy plants, so a good chunky bark may help to keep the roots airy.

Hope it helps :-)

Thank you so much for the advice! I got several messages on a separate post about how it looks like it’s over watered so I’m going to try to cut down on that! I will definitely look into a chunkier plant soil too!

I suspect a fungal infection. I recommend taking the plant out and checking the roots. Trim away any dead, black or mushy roots. I would also recommend repotting into a chunkier soil with perlite and orchid bark added. The current soil medium is too dense for a monstera.

I repotted it several days ago and didn’t see any roots that seemed out of the ordinary! I’ll definitely try to find a chunkier soil for it though, thanks for the advice!
