If the brown part is mushy, it’s overwatering. If it’s crunchy, it’s under watering. Could also be some kind of bacterial infection. In my experience, these guys love humidity

I am pretty sure now, it’s over watered. We went on vacay for a week and my mom in law may have “helped” by keeping our plants watered.
