# New plant parent here! I got this Monstera Adansonii a week ago and I…

New plant parent here! I got this Monstera Adansonii a week ago and I noticed that the roots were coming out from underneath the pot quite a lot. Also the pot seems quite small compared to the size of the plant and how big it is.  
Does anyone have any advice regarding when to repot this plant? Should I wait some more?

monstera love to be snug in their pots. the happiest ones i’ve seen are huge in comparison to their pots, like a 10 foot plant in a one gallon pot, or a 3 foot plant in a 5” pot
