# Hey plant besties , I just ordered stuff to make a moss pole and…

Hey plant besties ,  
I just ordered stuff to make a moss pole and split these babies up . I realized that there are 3 plants in each pot and they are growing different directions . My question is , I ordered a 12 inch pot but now I’m thinking - if I’m splitting the plant , does my pot need to be that big ?

One to 2 inches bigger than the root ball is all it needs. Monstera like to be snug.

I agree, I made that mistake thinking of her forever (2-3 years) home, but she just root rotted 😭😭😭 she's still in ICU water propagation 🤞🤞 🤞
