# Hello All, Need advice regarding my monstera. It is really doing well…

_Publicado por MK el 2024-05-29_

Hello All,
Need advice regarding my monstera. It is really doing well after transplanting a while ago (last fall??) and put in south facing but filtered window. New leaf and roots(?) on top, 3 new leaves started at bottom. New leaf on top almost every watering (I do follow app for this plant.

I assume I have to repot now into a ceramic pot if dense roots or do I just need to attach next pile at top?

TIA - maybe appreciated!!

I just realized there are more than 1 type of moss pole. The type I have is hollow at center. Would kits in which you put moss/spaghnum in center be a better choice. Thx again.

I use these plastic ones that I fill myself. You don’t need a new pot honestly if your plant is rooting into the pole because it will get nutrients there as long as you’re watering/fertilizing the pole

Can I ask how often you have to water your pole? I’ve been thinking of adding one to my M. adansonii because the thing just keeps growing. I’ve heard mixed reviews about moss poles, some people have suggested that they aren’t worth the effort. How has your experience been? Do your plants attach to the pole via arial roots?
