# GUUUUUYS I wanted to post an update!! I found this sad dying little…

GUUUUUYS I wanted to post an update!! I found this sad dying little Thai constellation at my local grocery store for $30 and I thought for that price why the hell not, I’ll take it home and try to rejuvenate it. And thanks to Josie‘s wonderful advice look at her! She is absolutely thriving. I have her next to my humidifier and she perked up right after I added some water! I haven’t re-potted her yet though and I have another question 😂.The only other Monstera I have is a monkey mask and it grows kind of different than these big bushy Monstera‘s. What is their growth pattern? Like will it come out of the stem? Because I don’t see anything yet. I am including a before and after picture! I’m so grateful to everyone that helped me.

oh my goodness she is gorgeous!!

the growth pattern is quite similar, just a little less viney? the new leaf come out of the previous leaf, and the stem gets thicker as it gets older. the leaves will grow closely 'stacked' if you give enough light. conversely, the leaves will be far apart if in lower light (you can see how far the newest node is compared to the other leaves on mine)! you will eventually want to provide some method of support to help it grow upwards, but it looks like you have a pretty young plant, so you can wait to worry about that, lol.  
ive attached a pic of mine, and hopefully it gives you a good idea of how it grows!

im not actually too sure, ive only had it for just over 2 months! the most recent leaf took about one month to completely unfurl
