# This is Rosie my dragon tree. The first photo is when I got her in…

This is Rosie my dragon tree. The first photo is when I got her in 2021. The second photo was taken last week!  
I nearly drowned her by over watering when she first arrived but by trial and error I discovered she likes to dry out between waterings and she likes misting every few days. I’m not sure how big she will get but hopefully we can continue to be best friends for a long time to come!

Great work! I just purchased a small one a few months ago, so it’s fairly new to me.

It’s an easy plant to look after. You know you have got it right when the occasional “Lower leaf” on the trunk goes yellow/brown and falls off. That is how they grow - as they put out more new leaves at the top green part of the trunk, the lower leaves slowly die back to create more scales on the brown part of the trunk, as it gradually grows upwards. Don’t pull them off, let them fall off naturally or you will interfere with the scale forming process. If the newer upper leaves turn yellow/brown and fall off then something is going wrong.
