Did a google image search - seems to be some kind of insect egg. Similar pictures online were from moths, beetles or stink bugs.

I just found something similar on my snake plant outside. That was the first time I had ever seen anything like it

Definitely insect eggs. Looks like the same pattern laid by squash bugs. No matter what kind they are, get rid of them.
