i tried the pinching and notching methods a few months ago on my ficus elastica and i’m sooo happy to see new growth!!! she’s a very happy plant \<3

Is pinching when you cut the top little nubbin off?

And what’s the purpose of doing that?

it’s when you break off the new growth at the top, it encourages bushier growth because it focuses less energy on upward growth and more on outward growth

it’s very similar results to notching, but diff technique!
