# Brought home a fishbone cactus today! Turns out he had six roommates…

Brought home a fishbone cactus today!

Turns out he had six roommates and didn’t tell anyone. 🫠 During repotting, I found out it wasn’t just one plant but a whole crew of individual stems living undercover in one pot. 😂

I’ve now got them all in their own places and I’m propagating five leaves for the first time! Hoping for the best. 🪴

this is how all plants are. they’re individual systems in one pot to have a fuller plant (: of course you can split it, but it is not necessary. the larger pot, i have a feeling might drown out the plant. cacti have small root systems and don’t need that much space. if you choose to leave it, i would water it waaay less.  
it should be a fun experiment! good luck!
