# My calathea lost all its leaves from being in -30 (Celsius) weather…

My calathea lost all its leaves from being in -30 (Celsius) weather for 6 minutes, was under watered and overwatered, and now is sending out a new healthy leaf and doing amazing!! Plus I moved it farther away from the window which seems to help a bunch!  
(The pictures were also taken a day apart, it’s growing fast!!)

Amazing! What type is it? I have a couple zombie calatheas as well that look pretty dead but are showing some new signs of life.

I put it on the app as a kerchoveana, it looked like one before the leaves dropped so I’m assuming that’s what it is!

(The store just called it prayer plant)

Ahh ok, yes kerchoveanas are maranta prayer plants (as opposed to calathea), which are but more finicky in my experience, so it’s great to see this!
