I can share some tips if you’d like #### boomexa svarede den 2024-10-11 I definitely lucked out with this one, it’s so pretty! and yep, this is only my second plant so any advice would be great! #### Adrian svarede den 2024-10-11 Well from my experience with peperomia so far (I’ve got about 7 now), the obtusifolia/clusiifolia varieties have succulent-like leaves and though the app says to wait until it’s mostly dry, mine all like to dry out completely before watering. You can use a chopstick or toothpick to see when the soil is dry enough to water them. They’re lower-light plants, so avoid putting them in direct sun or a south windowsill. East/west facing windowsills are perfect for them, or windows that get between 4-6 hours of sun in a day. Mine are kept in north windowsills cause my north windows are pretty bright. As for soil and repotting, they enjoy getting rootbound and being snug in their pots, and I keep mine in a mix of 70% of Espoma’s All-Purpose Mix and 30% of Espoma’s Cactus and Succulent soil, cause the key to keeping these plants low-maintenance is potting them in a well-draining soil and keeping them in a spot with the right amount of light where they won’t get cold or be near a draft. I bottom water mine (if you’re new to bottom watering, look up “how to bottom water a plant” on YouTube. It’s very easy) to prevent overwatering, attracting fungus gnats, and promote a stronger root system. You don’t actually have to mist them from my experience, especially if you live in a more humid environment. Some peperomia actually hate getting their leaves wet, which is also why I bottom water the plants to keep them dry, but if you’re worried it needs more humidity, getting a room humidifier is a better choice than misting these plants. Aside from that, once they’re in a spot they like, they’re very low maintenance plants, and they act like succulents for me.
