# This Jacklyn is absolutely insane. Typically alocasia put out 1 leaf…

This Jacklyn is absolutely insane. Typically alocasia put out 1 leaf at a time and hold only 3 at a time until they mature.  
As my new leaf was coming in I noticed a second leaf rising from the soil. A second Jacklyn started beside it.

Then a week later another new Jacklyn starts.

Another just started beside that and I still have one more maybe new leaf sticking out of the ground. This thing is going to have 12-15 leaves before it even matures haha

What do you have yours in? I canNOT keep alocasias alive. I’m determined to figure them out

I have mine in my own version of PON (without slow release fertilizer) and a personally mixed nutrient solution with general hydroponics ferts, cal-mag, and a touch of hydrogen peroxide. I also have alocasia in soil.

The biggest issue for most people is light, alocasia will go into dormancy when they don’t get enough light and will actually look like they’ve died when they havent

That’s way too much work for me. 😅😂 But it obviously is worth it!

Whoa! I have a Stingray one that has a new leaf, but it’d be awesome if it grew like this!

I wanted one of those for a few years, those stems look like they came straight out of The Lorax. I’ve had so many alocasias but I can’t keep them alive

I found a rare version on Etsy that has a pink version of that stem instead of brown. Very cool, wish I had seen it before I got this one but hey looks like my luck is pretty good with this. :p

I don’t know why but I had the hardest time getting one. I kept ordering from fake shops on Etsy and then waiting a month or more before realizing it was a scam.. lol it probably took 3-4months from when I started looking before I finally got this 😤

Oh boy that’s not good.. well the one you have is beautiful and I finally got mine. Thank goodness the shop on Etsy that I ordered from was actually legit!
