Got this air plant from a crystal/rock fair, it’s attached to a piece of fluorite! Can anyone recommend tips on taking care of it? This is my first air plant and I’m not sure when it was last watered, does anyone have tips on how to tell when it needs watered?

They like good light. And I water mine every like 10-14 days. Soaked in water. And then tipped over to dry for a few hrs, so no water stays in the crevices. They will eventually bloom, and once the bloom dies, they should make a pup or two, and then they die

ok so I must’ve been a bit too rough on one of my air plants when watering when I realized it was growing a pup, but unfortunately it ended up breaking off. 1. is this thing gonna survive? 🤨 2. what about the momma?

The pup should be fine. I've only had them pup after blooming, which means they'll eventually die, it's not like an instant thing, and they can produce more than 1 pup. Did the mother bloom before this?

not sure, first time ever producing anything with me and I’ve had her and a few other air plants for about a year? im honestly shocked she produced, I haven’t been the best air plant mom, they’re such low dopamine plants for me 🥲🥹

They are definitely not as interactive as one you have to water more often. Or trim, etc
