I love it that her blossoms are owning now. I thought this was a begonia but not sure. I rescued her. She looked pretty bad when I got her. I hope she continues to thrive

It is begonia.  
I have one too.  
Outside. Same blooms.

My mom always had these plants indoors and they always did well. I found out they like bright sun.

I have 2 outside. One has 3 bulbs in it and the other is 1 plant that basically took over its pot.  
The big one that is in its own pot. Has survived the last two winters outside. And is currently blooming. Only begonia I have had that has done this. The one with 3 bulbs will come back in the next few weeks if we get clear weather like what they are predicting.

I can’t put mine outside cause I live in an apartment. I love the red flowers in this. It makes me happy and I remember my mom when I look at it. I always see these outside in hanging baskets at the grocery stores for sale in the summer I figured they were mostly outside Plants I hope mine thrive indoors. The edges of the leaves were a little dry today. It’s not due to be watered until Thursday but I think it could use a little water today. Idk if I should or not. The soul is pretty dry on top.

I need to trim it once it quits raining. I can relate. My nana taught me about gardening. My first plants was begonia bulbs and a hydrangea.  
I understand what you mean by it remind you of your mom. Mine reminds me of my nana.
