Is this easy to care for? Will the white go away? There’s one on sale for $20!

So my husband bought me two of these about a year and a half ago, the other one is not doing as well as this one at all. It really has no growth. Not dying but just at a standstill…not sure why. This one won’t stop growing and so far it’s been fairly easy to take care of. I’m not sure if the white will go away or not. I hope not 🤞🏽 but yes I’d say it’s relatively easy to care for. We water when it’s dry. I have it by a south facing window.
