I wanted to share my cactus and succulent set up! Also can anyone help with my little succulent named ghosty? I got him like 2 years ago, and he was doing great until I moved and put him in a darker place then he should have been and forgot to water him... woops. A good chunk of him died but then brand new parts grew. I finally recently started taking care of him properly and now he is now doing worse then when I neglected him!!! Thanks!

Have you gotten to check the roots for signs of distress or root rot? If not, I would definitely recommend giving it a check. Hope this helps.

(Unrelated, but I love your cactus-shaped cover pot, and was wondering if you knew where you got it. It’s adorable. Love how it’s literally a cactus in a cactus 🌵)

Here’s a few other things to consider to hopefully help you rule out some possible causes of your plant’s distress  
\- what brand or type of soil is it potted in? Is it cactus mix? Is it Miracle Grow? If it’s Miracle Grow or not a cactus mix, I would definitely repot it in a cactus mix (that’s not Miracle Grow brand). I swear by Espoma’s Organic Cactus and Succulent mix for mine.  
\- do you allow the soil to completely dry out between waterings? This type of plant needs the soil to be bone dry before watering  
\- how much sun is it getting now? Is it getting at least 6 hours of sun every day, or does it need to be moved somewhere brighter?

If you do find there is root rot or signs of distress at the roots, please feel free to add a photo of what the roots look like in the comments and I’d be happy to walk you through how to treat the rot.

I got the cactus shaped pot from Home Depot! I will definitely check the roots!

Also thanks so much for the tips! It is potted in organic cactus and succulent mix. I will be sure to make sure the soil is dry. And I may need to mess around with where it lives lol! I have a cat that seems to take a liking to him specifically so I keep having to move him around lol!
