Hi i was wandering home depot with a friend today and i found this on the floor- it looks like a pineapple and any identifier app I use says its a pineapple.. can I plant it? Will it grow or lol idk what it is theres no pineapple at the homedepot we were at im so confused

Wow, I have no idea what it is but it looks like one of these I found at my local nursery last weekend! I thought it was cute and snapped a photo.  
I just looked it up too out of curiosity and you may have some luck with the keyword 'pineapple houseplant'.

It is a pineapple. And yes they were selling them. Lol 😂 I love that you found the top of one. Somebody probably broke it off of the plant.

pineapple bromeliad, I have 2 and was told they ripen and are edible.
