# I wanted to add an Alocasia frydek to my collection, but I’m not…

I wanted to add an Alocasia frydek to my collection, but I’m not ready for the bigger plants I keep coming across. So, I went to a local nursery and looked to see if I could find any korms at the surface of any of the pots. I found one and asked how much they would take for the korm. The girl said I could just have it. I wanted a small Frydek, and now I have as small as you can get. Hopefully it’s not some random seed that someone dropped there and I end up with some noxious weed. 🙃. Here it is after about 2 weeks.

Looks like mine did when it first started sprouting, so chances are good you’ve got the right thing 😂 I’m also in a phase of looking for small plants and cutting because I don’t have room more big plants
