First plant!! She’s a Calathea Dottie—Her name is Amelia  
I got her a plant/glow light and she lifted up more after a day!

yay congrats on your first plant (: i’m sure you know, but be sure not to use tap water when watering this guy or you’ll notice yellow and brown edges start to come to the leaves. it can’t handle the chemicals that come with tap water. distilled water, rain water, fish tank water, boiled water (after it cools), or water that’s been left out in an open container for 24-48 hours should be good too. just a few options :P

I bought one today and not only washed the leaves in tap but watered it. I won’t do it again… thank you. Think I will change the soul now too
