# Cactus Newbie here! So I’ve had this Prickly Pear for over a year. I…

Cactus Newbie here!  
So I’ve had this Prickly Pear for over a year. I actually just compared to pictures a year ago and this plant has grown quite a lot!  
I took this picture today, my question is what type of pots is best for cactus? Terra Cotta? With loose succulent/cactus potting mix?  
When I repot it should I put a post or something in there to help support it? Honestly over the last year it’s stood up a lot taller/nicer than when I first received it.
